Summer School of Rock and Pop, 29 June to 5 July, 2026
7 day Summer School of Rock and Pop takes place in Laois Music Centre from 29 June to 5 July, with access to high quality music equipment, and a team of experienced music mentors. This is an immersive, fun, creative opportunity for young people age 10-18 in Laois and surrounding areas to:
- Develop original music
- Be part of small and large bands/ensembles
- Take part in masterclass opportunities with guest musicians
- Travel to Dublin to visit Ireland’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Museum
- Meet MG Laois Alumni and hear their music stories
- Busk at Portlaoise Farmers Market
- Perform each day in open mics and as part of a final show in ‘The Fort’, outdoor performance space on the grounds of Laois Music Centre

- Times: Monday – Saturday 11am-3.30pm. Sunday 5 July times are 12noon – 7pm including final show.
- Final show on Sunday 5 July at 5pm on the grounds of Laois Music Centre, Free admission/ all welcome.
- Fee €150.00 (includes transport to Dublin and admission to Rock ‘n’ Roll Museum). Lunchbreaks supervised and take place between 1pm-1.30pm daily.
- All instruments and singing styles welcome!
- After you complete our sign up form, you will then receive a link to pay Summer Camp Fee on Way2Pay via SMS week beginning 15 June, and a detailed schedule prior to the Summer School commencing.
