7-13 July 2025, Laois Music Centre, Church Avenue, Portlaoise R32 Y074
A 7 day Summer School of Rock and Pop in Laois Music Centre, with access to high quality music equipment, and a team of experienced music mentors. This is an immersive, fun, creative opportunity for children and young people age 10-18 in Laois and surrounding areas to:
- Develop original music
- Be part of small and large bands/ensembles
- Take part in masterclass opportunities with guest musicians
- Record music with an experienced Music Producer
- Travel to Dublin and visit a recording studio
- Meet MG Laois Alumni and hear their music stories
- Busk at Portlaoise Farmers Market
- Perform each day in open mics and as part of a final show in ‘The Fort’, a newly constructed outdoor performance space on the grounds of Laois Music Centre.
Times:
Monday 7 July, Registration 10.30-11am, Camp runs from 11am-3.30pm
Tuesday 8 July, 11am-3.30pm
Wednesday 9 July, 11am-3.30pm
Thursday 10 July, 9am-6pm (daytrip to Dublin)
Friday 11 July 11am-3.30pm (including busking at Portlaoise Farmers Market)
Saturday 12 July 11am-3.30pm
Sunday 13 July, 11am-3.30pm including final show at 1.30pm
Lunchbreaks supervised, 1pm-1.30pm daily.
